Our Environmental Policy

The campsite is located on a hill, in a wood of typical plants of the maquis: laurels, oaks, strawberry trees, holm-oaks, heathers, genista, laurustines. It is in order to safeguard the wood and to respect the typical environment of the Tuscan countryside that we only replant autochthonal plants.

The roads, except for the main ring, are dirt paths. In order to save water, we put water reducers in every tap, shower, fountain, wc and basin. The plants are drip-watered and the waste waters of the swimming pools are used to fill a tank used by the local fire brigade in case of emergency.

In order to save energy, the three sanitary buildings are provided with solar panels, we use methane gas, and all the light bulbs are energy saving.
As for the differentiate refuse collection, there are green containers for glass, aluminium, plastic, tetrapak and Styrofoam. There are also grey containers for solid waste, and containers for exhausted batteries located at the Information point, and
at the entrance of the shop. At the exit of the campsite there are yellow containers
for paper and cardboard.

Our guests are invited to keep the campsite clean using the containers for the differentiate refuse collection. They are also invited to save water and energy, and to respect the environment. In order to reduce noise pollution, we suggest to switch off the engines and not to use cars during siesta time.
